Weekly News

Hi everyone. Another week went speeding by, didn't it? A quick summary:

My Grammom and Papa made it home from their vacation safely - just in time to watch the Packers beat the Vikings. I guess every team gets lucky once in a while, right guys?

School is going well. I get to go to the gym in the morning after breakfast and work with Mr. Marx. He is helping me to get really strong. We do all kinds of exercises together and play lots of games. On Fridays I get to bring a friend! And starting this week I get to attend some FIRST grade reading classes. I really like to read and I am looking forward to getting out of Kindergarten for a little while every day.

I accidentally broke my glasses today. Darn it. I forgot that I put them on my bed and then I sat on them. We tried to get them fixed, but the place was closed. They'll be open again tomorrow.

I got the proofs back for my school pictures. They turned out nice. My Mom says I am turning into quite a handsome young man.

My Mom and I went to Toys R Us today and I got to spend my birthday money! I wasn't sure what I wanted this whole time but I finally figured it out this weekend - A Basketball! We had a lot of fun walking around the store - they have so many cool toys! I also bought a lifesaver. (Actually it's a Star Wars "light sabre" but for some reason when I say it, it always comes out "lifesaver." But you know what I mean, right?) When we got home from the store we played basketball outside and my Mom taught me how to do a bounce pass and a chest pass. I am doing good at those things but it's still hard for me to get that ball through the net. That thing is HIGH up in the air!

Also, we went out for lunch today with my friend Bennett and his Mom Gina. She is so cool. Bennett really likes me and I am good at making him smile. Today when my Mom was holding him in her lap, I taught him how to play the drums. That kid has got some good rhythm.

My Mom and I started out our day today by going to Church. Actually she went to Church and I got to go to Sunday School. I really LOVE going to Sunday School. The teacher is so nice and we do many fun things. I have made a lot of friends there. The topic of our lesson today was patience. It takes practice to be good at being patient but I am sure trying.

Speaking of Church, my Mom had an extra reason to go today. Since Church is such a good place to talk to God, she really wanted to go because she had a lot to say. Her Grandpa (my Great-Grandpa) is not in very good health. We have both been asking God to watch over him and all of our family during this sad and difficult time.

Well, I guess that is all I have to say today. I hope you find happiness in the coming week. Remember to be patient and tell the people you care about most that you love and cherish them.
