It's been a while...

Let's see... a lot has been going on since my last post! Here's a recap:

My Mom had a busy week of clinicals the 11th, 12th and 13th, but then on Wednesday night I got sick. And I mean sick. It started about 11:30 PM and lasted until the next day (Valentine's Day) where I "left my contribution" in the parking lot if you know what I mean. It happened right before we got in the car to go meet my Dad. But, the good news is, after that I felt better! I even went to school on Friday and got to hand out my Valentines one day late.

So back to Mom's clinicals... Because she wasn't able to complete her last day on the 14th (cuz she had to stay home with me) she'll have to make it up another day. Her teacher runs the class every six weeks, so when the current class goes to the nursing home, my Mom will be able to tag along too.

As many of you know, my Mom goes on an annual ice fishing trip with Anty Randi and her best girlfriends. This year they left a day early because they love to fish SO much! They wanted to fish an extra day. So I went to Dad's on Thursday afternoon and Mom waited for her friends from the twin cities to pick her up. She says they laughed a lot and had a really great time AND they actually caught fish! I know this for sure because I ate some of it last night! She says they kept about 25 fish. But guess what? Their friend John Copp (from Warren) and his family were fishing too and he brought 45 filets to the cabin for Mom and her friends to share! Mom said they were SO excited and were so happy that the Copp family is so nice! Thanks Copp family! Fishing must be really hard work because my Mom says she is still "recovering." I don't remember having to "recover" when I went fishin' with Grandpa.

So while Mom was fishing, I decided to give Dad the weekend off. I went to Grammom and Papa's W's! We really had a fun time. They took me to the Mall of America! I even got to ride some rides! It was so awesome. I thought it was cool, but Papa said it was his first time there and probably the last. I wonder why? Maybe Grammom wouldn't let him ride any rides... Oh! And I got another Webkin! It's a beagle and I named him Cocoa. I love him very much and haven't let him out of my sight since I got home. Today I am taking him to daycare for "share day."

Wow - that was a lot of information in one post. I hope I didn't bore you!

One more thing... my Mom leaves for Montana in just 9 days! She is excited to see the Olson's and Kristjanson's and to take part in Maci's baptism. She is very proud that she was asked to be her Godmother. That is a VERY important job. She's hoping to see cousin Teri while she's there too. She is also going to Colorado to see... her friend... Sarah Muller! She will also get to see cousin Jenny. I know she can't wait to spend some time with her. I hope Sarah doesn't plan on taking Mom skiing. After all, we all know Mom has a hard time with just WALKING most days. She says she "has gone 30 years without skiiing and isn't about to start now!"

I wonder when people are going to bring me along on one of these vacations!? Hmmm....

After my Mom posted pictures from fishing, she couldn't believe that she didn't get even ONE picture of her with Anty Randi! Weird! So, she posted one of them from last year.
