What a Weekend!

I'm sure you can imagine that I had a blast with Grandma and Grandpa this weekend! Here's a recap:

They got here on Thursday at 5:40 P.M. I know the exact time because I was pacing back and forth from the couch to the microwave looking at the clock. My Mom says I wore a path into the carpet. While we were eating supper, my Mom asked me "How many people did you tell that Grandma and Grandpa were coming this weekend?" I thought for quite a few seconds, did a little counting on my fingers and happily exclaimed, "About 10."

On Friday, Grammom W, Grandma and Grandpa P and Mom showed up at my school to watch my music program. As soon as I got up on the stands, I was stretching my neck and looking for them. There they were with smiles and cameras flashing. We all sang great and my buddies and I had a fun time performing for our loved ones. They got to come to my classroom and meet my teacher and see my room. I showed them the incubator and eggs that will soon be hatching into baby chicks.

We walked through the book fair that was going on and I got to pick out a book! Of course, I chose Captain Underpants. They also bought me a pen that has 4 colors! Sweet! After that, they let me skip the last hour of school and we all went back to Mom's to visit. Grammom brought me a pair of Spiderman Crocs! I love them. They are so comfortable.

After we said Good-bye to Grammom, we went to Space Aliens for an early supper! Now, they say that place is like just for kids, but I beg to differ. For every token I used on a game, Grandpa must have used two! And don't think he was the only one. Grandma was just as bad! I'm not complaining though! They were really good at the games and they won me a bunch of tickets!

I got a phone call from my Dad! We couldn't talk long but it was good to hear his voice. He is having fun on vacation but he misses me a lot. Dad, if you are reading this, I miss you too!

On Saturday Grandma, Grandpa and Mom took me to the movie, "Horton Hears a Who." I loved it! It was so funny and the popcorn was delicious. Remember, a person's a person, no matter how small.

Grandma opened presents when we got home. Do you know that Monday will be Grandma's birthday? This will be a special birthday for her. I don't know if she would like it if I told you how old she is so I better not. (But it rhymes with rixty!)

I got to see my cousin Lindsey yesterday, too. She was driving through town and stopped to visit us for a while. Now that she knows where we live, maybe she'll come and visit more often. :)

For supper, we got to have my favorite thing! Pizza!

The weekend went by way too fast. It seems like they were just getting here and all of a sudden they already had to leave today! We went out for a late breakfast and then they hit the road at noon or so.

As you can tell we had a lot of fun!

Update!
Oh no. I just talked to Grandma and Grandpa and guess what? They are driving in the middle of a snowstorm. They have been driving for 4 hours and aren't anywhere close to being home yet. They have seen about 17 cars in the ditch and 3 semi's on their sides or jack-knifed. A moment ago they were only going 9 miles per hour on the interstate! Be careful Grandma and Grandpa! We are praying very hard that you make it home safe and sound!

Hi Parker, Well, we had a blast didn't we? What a fun way for me to celebrate my birthday - I especially liked Space Aliens, as you know!!
It was a long drive home but we made it safe and sound. Grandpa is a good driver under stress. We took it cool. the only thing was that our butts got sore from sitting so long!!
We really enjoyed spending time with you and Mom. And tomorrow night I will see Anty Randi and Uncle Reed. We will go out for supper with Great-Grandma so that will be special too. It is not so bad having Birthdays - even when you are rixty...I am glad you didn't tell anyone how old I am-ha
Have a great day - I love you very much.

Parker! You had a great weekend! You made me remember something good today when you said you got a Captain Underpants book-Moriah used to get them all the time when there was a book fair! She would laugh and laugh! When you get a little older, the Bunnicula books are very funny too. I am going to take Blaise to see Horton hears a Who-his birthday is on Saturday. Do you think he will like it? He is not rixty, tho! Haha! I am going to wish your Grandma Happy Birthday on your blog, ok? I am glad that they made it home safe and sound too. I am sick of winter, now!
Have a good day!
