Well last night we had an awesome time! Mom and I ate a quick supper before we left because I think she knew she wouldn't be able to get me to stop and eat at the picnic. (Even though they had pizza and Mexican food available for purchase.) Last year, the picnic was held inside the school and let me tell you, it was a packed house in there. This year, we were happily surprised when we got to the school and found out it was all going to be held outdoors! It was a beautiful day filled with sunshine and a nice breeze.
OK, so we walked out the back door of the school and that huge ship is the very first thing I saw! It was a HUGE blow-up slide!! How cool is that?? We bought some tickets and away we went. I played games, got my hair sprayed red, gold and black, won some candy, got my face painted, ate a snow cone and of course slid down that huge Titanic ship!
I found my good buddies - Logan, Peyton and Gabe and we ran around like crazy people while my Mom got to know Maryanne (Logan's Mom) and Trisha (Peyton's Mom.) She even got their phone numbers so this summer I will be able to connect with my friends. Way to go Mom! The guys are excited to come over to our place to play on the playground and swim in the pool.
Now, last but not least, I should tell you that this was a fundraiser. Each classroom had a different theme and then the families donated items for the baskets. Just some of the themes were: Fishing, Coffee, Chocolate, Camping, Hannah Montana, Barbie, Dogs, Sports, Action Figures, On the go Snacks, Clothing, a Massage, Italian Food, Family Themed Gift Certificates, Auto Detailing, Building Blocks and Lego's.... but most importantly, WEBKINS. There must have been at least 100 baskets of stuff. But of course, I had my eye on the SIX baskets that contained those wonderful Webkins.
And guess what? My Mom was able to get one! She bid on a few different baskets and ended up with a Clydesdale Horse and a Leapin' Lizard. I love them and now I need to figure out what to name them. Do you have any ideas?
Thanks, Mom! I had a great time at the picnic and am already thinking about next year.
Now... if I could just find my missing library books....
