School Fundraisers

Don't worry! I am not asking you to buy anything!

I am here to remind you about all the year-round school fundraisers going on. And the best part is - they won't cost you any money! Here are some simple ideas for you to help your school! (Or mine if you want to start saving for me.)

Box tops for education: Just clip the little square on the side of the package and put it in a safe place. These really add up! My school cashed them in and received $2080.00! And that's in just one year! Here are just a few examples of what products have them: Betty Crocker, Ziploc, General Mills, Hefty, Huggies, Pillsbury, Yoplait... you get the idea. (Click here for the entire list of products.) These box tops are on stuff you already buy! I see them everywhere! Please take a second, cut out the little box top square, and help your school.

If you live down in this area and shop at Cub Foods, save your receipts! Cub Foods gives back 1% of the total of all grocery receipts that are turned in to your school. Go Cub!

Campbell's Labels for Education: Just clip out and save the little square from participating products like all varieties of Campbell's soup! You can also save caps from V-8 juice and Prego items. Please take a moment to view the entire list. Schools can redeem Campbell's points and receive valuable education equipment for their school!

Kemp's and Land O'Lakes Milk Caps: Watch for milk caps with 5 cents on the top. When you throw away your empty carton, save the cap! This is worth a nickel to my school! It may not sound like much, but if we all work together, we can save enough and help make a difference!

OK - I think that's enough for you to keep busy with. Start saving today, OK? It's a great way to help your school without hurting your pocketbook. Remember to turn them in often so the points don't expire. There are usually bins right inside the front entrance door of schools for easy drop off. Good luck and happy collecting!

The schools down this way also send in printer cartridges. You might want to check with your school to see if yours does, too. I've already sent about 10 of the things in with Todd this year.
