Yesterday my mom was working on an assignment for class and she told me she needed my help. She was supposed to ask three people this question:
"What does it mean when you say I love you?"
So she asked me what I thought it meant but I didn't really know and after all, I was very busy playing. (You'd think she would have seen that - after all she IS a college student!) She wasn't giving up so easy though, so I threw the word "happy" at her and she seemed content.
Anyway, a few hours later mom and I were eating supper which was leftovers of boneless pork ribs and mashed potatoes. Well, we were sitting there at the table and I noticed she didn't have any potatoes on her plate so I asked her "Why don't you have any potatoes mommy?" She replied, "There wasn't very many left honey so I gave them to to you because I know how much you like them."
Well right then... it just hit me! I looked down at her plate and then down at my own and then I knew how to help her with her homework assignment! I looked up at my mom and I told her...
"That's what love is mommy! Love is when you give someone else the potatoes."
My mom sure must have like that answer because she seemed to laugh and cry at the same time. Then she gave me a hug and said, "My cup runneth over." (Whatever that means...)

What a great site and great idea! I'm so glad you let me know about this, Parker, so I can keep up with you.
I moved again and now I'm living at Maple Lake, about an hour from your Grandma & Grandpa.
I hope I can see you and your mom again soon.--Adie
Hi Parker, Can't wait to see you at the lake. We are going to have so much fun this weekend. Oh, if you have one, bring your fishing rod. If you don't you can borrow one of ours. Love, Anty Randi
Hey Mate, how were things at the lake? Did you see any peg legged pirates? Did you see any treasure ships with the pirate flag a blowin in the wind ole mate? If so, I bet they had er loaded down with gold coins and all kinds of other treasures. Keep the good eye open ole chap, cuz ya never know who wants ta git the best of ya. Take care ole boy---Grandpa

We'll tie up my mom and throw her overboard! Tell that Grandma of mine that I'm comin' so she better get busy makin' me some fresh buns and egg salad or else I'll make her walk the plank! (Just kidding Grandma!)
