More Fun

As you may know, I rotate weekends between Mom and Dad's. This weekend, I was with Mom and I think she must have been bored because she just comes up to me and says, "You better come and eat your lunch because after that we are going to Summerland." WHAT? Seriously? Then she grinned and I knew she was for real. So, we ate and got our suits on and off we went.

Did you know that an unlimited waterslide wristband is only $8.52? That's pretty good! We were there for 4 hours, so that's only like 2 bucks an hour we paid for FUN FUN FUN! (The Cheap Chick will be so proud.) But of course, everthing else is extra. They also have bumper boats and mini golf and race cars and batting cages. We couldn't do any of that stuff ... but maybe another time. Also, you are not supposed to bring in any outside food or drinks in (ah-hem) because they want you to buy them there. They have hotdogs and pretzels and ICEE's and rootbeer floats and ice cream cones.... we indulged in a few things but mostly I was too busy going down the slide!

I must have gone up the stairs and down the slide over 50 times. My Mom got some great action shots. I had a great time. Mom, however, got a little sunburned. She's been putting aloe on it though so she's OK.

Also, I filled up my jar with cotton balls! I can't believe how quickly I was able to do it. And want to know my first prize? A webkin! It's a baby black lab and I named him Samuel. Mom and Grammon got it on Friday and then Mom hid it so she'd have a prize on hand for me. I was so happy when she surprised me with it that I had tears in my eyes. I am working toward my next full jar. From now on though, the prizes will be things Mom and I can do together. I can't wait!

Yesterday, Mom and I went out for breakfast at IHOP, then we rented some movies (since we couldn't go to the pool because of her sunburn) and went to Target. Mom had to get a bunch of stuff like laundry soap and toilet paper and deoderant... but I got a new toothbrush, mouthwash, shampoo and body wash. Boy do I sure smell good today! Oh, and a pair of summer sandals so I don't have to wear socks and shoes all the time.

Today I have been working on my summer journal. Mom thinks it's a good idea to take time to practice my handwriting skills so I don't forget too much over the next few months. She wants me to write two sentences for every fun thing I do over the summer. I know she's not asking much, but it's kinda hard for me. Sometimes I get frustrated. And when I get frustrated, I get mad. And when I get mad, I get snotty. And when I get snotty, my Mom is NOT impressed. So, right now, I am chillin' out in my room calming down so I thought I would post. Do you have any tips that can help me to not get so stressed?
