Weekend with Grammom W

If you are a teacher, principal, or any sort of educator or social worker please stop reading now. But thanks for stopping by.

OK - now that they are gone I can tell the rest of you a secret....

I skipped school yesterday.

Don't worry, my Mom and Dad said it was OK. Here's why...I was going to spend the weekend with Grammom anyway and then Dad figured out he had to work in their town on Friday... and Grammom had Friday off.... so the 3 of them decided I could skip school and start my weekend early! So, Dad and I took off Friday morning and I was hangin' with Grammom by 11 A.M. We have had a busy weekend so far!

Yesterday, we went to Grammom's work and played the Wii! Grammom works at a facility for seniors and, between you and me, since they got the Wii I don't think my Grammom's been working very hard. She's getting pretty good at those games. I think she may be doing a little more playing than working. But don't tell her boss!

Then, last night we went to a party! It was right across the street at the neighbors. There was all kinds of food there and I tried everything! Grammom said it was a Tastefully Simple party. All the ladies were impressed with me and kept telling Grammom what a good eater I am. There was some things I really liked, and some I didn't like, but I had fun tasting them all!

This morning I rode my bike a little and then Grammom took me to a play! We went to The lion, the witch and the wardrobe. I loved it! It was really good. After that, she took me on a date to my favorite restaurant - Red Lobster. I had popcorn shrimp and a huge, delicious chocolaty dessert! It was so yummy!

As you can see, I am a very, very lucky boy. I have had such a fun weekend. Papa has been gone hunting and maybe one day I'll go with him... but for now I am enjoying my awesome weekend with Grammom. She wants to make it a yearly tradition and I am all for it!

Well, I better go. Grammom wants to play a game. Talk to you later!

What fun Parker!

I used to skip school on Veteran's Day and spend it with my Dad. Those are very fond memories for me and I will never forget!

Sounds like you had a fun time! I bet you learned more with Granmmom than you would have at school. :)

Yup, we had a great time and Parker was such fun. He'll have to tell you about the lucky rabbit's foot he found in his Dad's baby shoe, it worked for us when we thought we were not going to see the play on Sat. He did wake up at 5:30 A.M. on Sat., but slept 'til 7:15 on Sun so things were getting better in that catagory. Now Parker, don't forget to watch for me on Sunday at the Packer game. I'll be waving to you. Sure hope they play better than last night. Have fun at your gramma and grampa P.'s and eat lots of turkey. Love you. Grammom (still no deer fom Papa)

Tastefully Simple makes a good Beer Bread. The "Corn-and-whatever-else Salsa" (Black Bean?) on a layer of cream cheese is also quite good.

OK, I'm just killing time waiting for the clock to move up a bit so I can wish you two HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!! on the right day.

:)
